Roseland is providing jobs for 3 to 7 people in the neighborhood who were previously unemployed. Pearl saves on expense, while employing local residents, by hiring and training day care assistants from the neighborhood, wherever they qualify for training.

She secures the help of volunteers from various churches and schools to assist in many different ways. She has also had students earning their degrees in childhood development observe her classrooms.
